Rung as a 50th anniversary tribute to the members of the Central Council who rang this classic, one-part composition, silent and non-conducted, on these bells on May 22nd, 1961. At that time, this was the greatest number of surprise major methods rung to a peal silent and non-conducted and it was rung during the visit of the Central Council to north Staffordshire. Also rung in memory of Roderick W Pipe - Rod and Geoff were contemporaries at Birmingham University in the 1960's.
