The first locally constructed wheel is finished

   We are extremely grateful to Phil Gay for constructing the front six wheels for our new bells. Phil and the Keele ringers also donated all 10 new stays for the bells. The wood was sourced at a local timber merchant and the Ash soles were taken to Somerset to be steam bent. The wheel with the largest diameter was made first of all. The various radii are then reduced as the different wheels are made.
